  • BEBR predictions? Fix or track? - MoneySavingExpert Forum
    With Bank of England Base Rate (BEBR) sitting at 2 25%; and presumably about to go up 0 5pc in Nov; and another 0 5 in Dec - we're presumably going to be hitting 3 5-4% base rate quite quickly As a result, the best rates around right now are basically 4 1% for a 5yr fix or a jump on a BEBR+0 5% tracker and ride it out
  • Lifetime Tracker BEBR +0. 17% - MoneySavingExpert Forum
    Our current mortgage is a Lifetime Tracker BEBR +0 17% We have about £35,000 left on this mortgage and at present, I'm inclined to stay with this rate, rather than move to a fixed rate
  • 2 year Tracker 3. 49% - 3 year fixed 4. 99% or 5 year fixed 5. 25%
    Would it be wise for a FTB to go with a fixed rate mortgage or would you take your chance with a 2 year tracker and try and save the approximatley £150 monthly difference incase payments rise?
  • Re-mortgage after Fixed Rate ends with Barclays?
    I'm coming up to the end of my 2-year fix soon, at 5 45% with Barclays This is my first mortgage and I wanted to understand how re-mortgaging works
  • Barclays mortgage with 2 parts and different end dates
    The only mortgage available with 0 fees is a "EMC Reward 2Yr Tracker BEBR +2 35% (FT25)" this would put my payments up slightly but I assume in Sept I could leave this mortgage with no penalty and stick to our original plan? As a second question we are on track to hit the 80% LTV balance in time for Sept
  • Are we expecting the BOE Base Rate to drop to 4% on 7th August?
    I find it bizzare people are brain washed into thinking this So the BOE rate is 4 75% and mortgage rates are 4 5% So when the BOE rate is 1%, lending rates could well be 5%? The problem is too many people are too busy trying to explain that the BOE rate is not a factor of mortgage lending, yet we have never seen my point in history EVER Markmywords Posts: 59Forumite 26 January at 3:42PM

  • Offset mortgage — MoneySavingExpert Forum

  • Which mortgage comparison websites do you like using, and why?
    Which mortgage comparison websites do you all like using? I have used the one recommended by MSE in the mortgage guide, but couldn't filter out the offset mortgages I like the Moneyfacts website for being able to track the offset ones, but find it less good with the tracker rate mortgages (it doesn't specify how much it is tracking above BEBR) Which websites do you all like using, and are
  • Existing Customer Fixed rate Barclays Mortgage deal from August-no . . .
    Hello, This question relates to a Barclays Mortgage with 7 years left on the term On the 3rd of August because the existing deal with expiry 31st October 2022 is on a fixed rate, Barclays encouraged an early application for a new deal via a link to their site This was applied for and an email conformation received The reply states;
