Recoil \Re*coil"\ (r[-e]*koil"), v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Recoiled}
(r[-e]*koild"); p. pr. & vb. n. {Recoiling}.] [OE. recoilen,
F. reculer, fr. L. pref. re- re- culus the fundament. The
English word was perhaps influenced in form by accoil.]
