And warlike symphony in heard around. --Dryden.
[1913 Webster]

[1913 Webster]

3. (Mus.)
(a) An elaborate instrumental composition for a full
orchestra, consisting usually, like the sonata, of
three or four contrasted yet inwardly related
movements, as the allegro, the adagio, the minuet and
trio, or scherzo, and the finale in quick time. The
term has recently been applied to large orchestral
works in freer form, with arguments or programmes to
explain their meaning, such as the "symphonic poems"
of Liszt. The term was formerly applied to any
composition for an orchestra, as overtures, etc., and
still earlier, to certain compositions partly vocal,
partly instrumental.
(b) An instrumental passage at the beginning or end, or in
the course of, a vocal composition; a prelude,
interlude, or postude; a ritornello.
[1913 Webster]

Skyvector just combined them all but lets you look at specific ones On the individual charts in skyvector you can still find the legend for that map, if you need something actually explaining just search for "how to read sectional charts" and a number of options should pop up
  • Simbrief and Navigraph - Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020 2024) - The . . .
You could use Simbrief by itself and then use something like SkyVector as a source of maps, although that only covers the US and maybe Canada with regard to instrument charts There's excellent coordination between Simbrief and Navigraph, and since the former is free to use, so I use both
  • VFR charts outside the US : r flying - Reddit

SkyVector only has charts for the US and its territories I've been using AirMate for free world-wide charts Canada apparently doesn't like their charts available free, but just about everywhere else is covered Search for an airport then click the Plates button on the info popup on the map It's all free, and they have a decent mobile app too

  • Skyvector question : r flightsim - Reddit
Skyvector only offers Instrument Approach Charts of the US, I think this has to do with the fact that this data is published publicly For other countries continents charts can only be purchased by for example a Navigraph or ForeFlight subscription With regards to ILS and RNAV, that it thankfully used all over the world and not specific to the US

If you go to the SkyVector website you can see a bunch of stitched together sectional charts To view the legend, you'll have to select a single sectional chart, usually a city name on one of the white buttons in the top right of the chart window
